Introductory papers are essays devoted to various topics connected with the activities of the department. The purpose of these papers is to provide students and other interested parties with a basic overview of the thematic areas which contemporary anthropology deals with and to improve understanding of current terminology and concepts applied in studying the social and cultural differentiation of contemporary societies.
