Narrative analysis workshop
1) lecture of 1,5 hour: The Theory
topics to be addressed:
- narrative vs discourse
- narrative methods
- narrative analysis
2) exercise (workshop) of 1 hour
- students will get a verbatim transcript of an interview
- students will read this verbatim together with listening to the recording of this interview (sound fragment)
- students will get assignment on how to deal with this verbatim (both format and content). How do you analyse this?
3) focus group of 30 minutes
- students will discuss the do's and dont's of narrative methodology in one big group or several small groups
